Inspired by a visit to a block printing studio, I was captivated by the achada fabric, the underlays that catch excess impressions during the printing process. These layers, unintentionally built up over time, form abstract, unplanned compositions that serve as a unique visual record of time and process. This led to the Achada series that mirrors this approach, layering marks in a spontaneous, responsive way without a predetermined plan.
