"Spiced Chocolate"
 
A series of 6 small collage works on paper titled Spiced Chocolate.
 
Collage works for me are about working
with contradiction, the elements of surprise and
planning that have to work together. It’s all about play
and movement of pieces, like the making of a puzzle,
And in this case, only I know when it’s complete. The
quiet and meticulous cutting, layering, arranging, and
Playing brings a unique sense of rhythm to the process.
Each piece evolves organically, with moments of both
intention and spontaneity, as materials and textures
interact.
The result is a visual dialogue where contrasting
elements come together to form something cohesive
much like the layers of flavor in spiced chocolate.
