JOSS FLOWER  is a series of four paintings . 

Daffodil petals, stems, and light are deconstructed dissolving botanical detail into layered gestures that move yet remain contained. The idea  to create a composition hovers between abstraction and representation, a delicate balance of movement and stillness. Blues hint at a nearby pond and blocks green hold the balance of a field. 

These works look to capture a moment suspended, nature remembered, not depicted. 

To create a feeling that is contemplative, encouraging you the viewer to rest in a still, reflective pause  remembering a quiet  wlk in a field more than witnessing it.
