“MID SUMMER is a series of three paintings on paper. Inspired by the character Tatiana, Queen of the Fairies, in A Midsummer Night's Dream. Reading the play in school, my mind would always wander to her costumes and their colours.

Here , many years later, I have tried to capture the ethereal magic and whimsical nature of the play. The world of the fairies and their delicate, diaphanous costumes and dreamlike atmosphere. I've tried to encapsulate these in a soft, flowing colour palette of translucent pastels, evoking the lightness of fairy wings and moonlit nights. Each piece offers a glimpse into the enchanted world where reality and fantasy intertwine, with swirling forms and hues that float between the realms of the tangible and the imagined.”
